Rockmelon and Yoghurt Dog Treats

Rockmelon and Yoghurt Dog Treats

Our furry friends feel the heat just as much as we do. They love to snack on healthy frozen treats like these rockmelon and yoghurt mini snacks.

Rockmelon for Dogs

Rockmelon, also known as cantaloupe, contains lots of important nutrients for your dog. Nutrients such as vitamins A and C, antioxidants and fibre are great for your dog’s eyes and fur as well as for digestive health.

Substitutes

Rockmelon can be substituted for other fruits such as:

  • Apple
  • Banana
  • Watermelon
  • Mango
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries

Just make sure that the fruit is safe for dogs before making these treats. Fruits such as grapes will make your dog very unwell.

Yoghurt

The best yoghurt for dogs is plain yoghurt. Make sure to read the ingredients and use a plain yoghurt that contains NO xylitol or artificial preservatives or sweeteners.

Mould

To make these treats, I used these dog bone moulds.

You could also use an ice cube tray or something similar, as you don’t want treats that are too large.
