Our boys, especially B, love painting!
We have used many different mediums for painting, but one we haven’t tried yet is rocks.
The boys had a great time painting flowers using rocks instead of paintbrushes.
We tried to choose many different size and shape rocks that also had a smooth side.
The boys chose the colours they wanted and squirted the paint, one colour per paper plate. This gave them room for when they pressed onto the paint with the rocks.
Then they chose a rock and pressed it into the paint they wanted before pressing it carefully onto the paper.
After completing the flower, they added some greenery.
They did get a fair bit of paint on their fingers, but they didn’t mind.
They had great fun with these rock flower paintings.
What are some different things you have painted with?
