Today I am sharing with you an amazing book by a fellow homeschooler, Caitlyn Stock from Suzy Homeschooler. A Week in the Life of Homeschoolers is a great book for those looking into homeschooling or are new at homeschooling and wondering how a homeschool day may look like.
We have been homeschooling for seven years now and our boys love the freedom homeschooling gives them, allowing them to explore the topics they enjoy, after they have finished their core work.
Being boys, they love messy, outside activities such as making Elephant’s Toothpaste,
and Fake Blood.
But, as we are homeschoolers, they also get the opportunity to complete hands-on projects such as raising and breeding butterflies,
and breeding silkworms.
The flexibility and freedom of homeschooling is awesome and we have watched our boys grow in ways we never thought. They are avid readers who love researching their favourite topics and building awesome creations out of anything they can find.
In saying this, every homeschool family is different and every family will have their own individual homeschool schedule. It is fun to have a look at different homeschooling families and how they operate, as you may pick up a few tips or tricks.
In this 32-page eBook from Caitlyn stock, she gives an example of a homeschool ‘planned’ timetable for each day of the week and then allows you ‘behind the scenes’ to see the reality of what happened on each of those days.
This eBook shows the reader how flexible her homeschooling schedule is and how it can be altered when unexpected things pop up. It also shows how much children will still learn, in their own way, in an encouraging and supportive environment.
Included at the back of the book are some resources on support, books and websites that will also help you along your homeschooling journey.
To grab your copy of this {FREE} eBook, all you need to do is to sign up as a weekly Newsletter Subscriber at Suzy Homeschooler.
Caitlyn also has lots of homeschooling tips and tricks, free printables and activities as well as lesson plans for you to view on her website, so why not pop over and take a look at Suzy Homeschooler.
