Rahab and the Spies Story
The story of Rahab and the Spies can be found in Joshua 2:1-24.
In this story, Joshua had just become the new leader of the Israelites. It was his job to help lead the people into the Promised Land.
To do this, he needed to conquer Jericho. But first, he decided to send two spies into the city to check it out.
Rehab lived in Jericho. She had been living a sinful life, though after hearing about God’s people, she chose to change her ways.
Inside the city, the two spies found Rahab. She helped hide them when the King’s soldiers came looking for them. She also helped the escape the city.
In return for her help, she asked that her and her family be saved when Jericho was overcome.
Rahab went on to follow God completely, and marry an Israelite. Hundreds of years later, Jesus was one of her descendants.
