This week R was learning about treasure hunts in his PACEs, so he asked if he and B could do one. So I made up a ‘treasure box’ and then some clues and they ‘hunted’ for their treasure. They had a great time. We have done 4 treasure hunts so far and they still want to do more. They don’t care about the treasure, it’s more to do with the clues. This also bought on asking more information about who hid treasures and who did they find them, so we ended up doing a lapbook on Pirates. We made a pirate ship (a model out of a book that I had), glued a parrot and pirate together and made a parrot rattle.
Pirate Ship Model.
The crafts completed were colouring and cutting pages and parrot rattles.
Here are some pictures of the lap book they completed.
