We also ended up buying 2 budgies that are part of the Parrot Family.
This week we finished the Parrot Lapbook. The boys found this subject quite interesting as they really want to have a parrot for a pet.We listened to the sounds parrots make and watched a few videos on utube. We watched a dvd that we borrowed from the library called Save the World’s Parrots by Peter Odekerken and read a few books on parrots as well. The books were, Australian Parrots by Steve Parish and Karin Cox, Birds by Steve Parish and Parrots by Tom Jackson. We did a few craft activites, making a parrot out of a toilet roll, and gluing a parrot together, we fingerpainted a parrot (the front cover of the lapbook) and made a parrot out of the letter P.
Parrot Handprint Painting that we used on the front cover of our lap book.
P is for Parrot
