Follow along with these lifecycle of an Oak Tree cards and notebooking pages as we learn about the life of these amazingly beautiful trees.
Oak Trees are great trees that can live for more tan 1000 years. During their life they will go through many changes, starting as an acorn which eventually ends up as a huge tree.
Each acorn contains one seed which germinates and produces a taproot. This taproot becomes the anchor of the tree for the rest of its long life. When spring comes along, the seed will send up a small shoot through all the leaf litter that is covering it.
These magnificent trees don’t produce a great crop of acorns until they are around 50 years old and takes longer to grow into a massive adult. A mature oak tree can grow up to 45 metres tall and can spread almost as wide.
