Lap of Oz: Days 61 and 62
We left Kununurra, heading for a free camp for the next two nights. We were surprised by how many one lane bridges there were. Not sure why they couldn’t have made them two lane.
Not long after leaving Kununurra, we were hit by a flying stone as a road train passed us in the opposite direction. It was only a small crack which we put a windscreen sticker thing on as soon as we stopped. We thought this would help, well at least for a while.
After spending one night at Spring Creek Rest Area (straight across the road from the Bungle Bungle turnoff), we checked the crack the following morning. It had grown quite a bit that first night, so we started organising to get it fixed.
We had some visitors on our second day.
This is the crack, the day after it happened.
