Days 118-119
We actually spent 3 nights in Adelaide, but as we did a bit and there are a lot of photos, I have again decided to break up the time into two posts.
After having a yummy breakfast with a lovely couple, we headed for Adelaide, stopping quickly at the St Kilda Adventure Playground on the way.
It will be an awesome playground once the slides and the flying fox are completed.
Then it was off to Adelaide. Hubby has a sister there, so we were very fortunate to be able to park our van on their driveway.
The next day we headed off first to the Adelaide CBD and the Adelaide Central Markets.
Then we drove past the Adelaide Oval as hubby wanted to see the new renovations that had been completed since he had last been here.
Right around the corner from Adelaide Oval is the Colonel Light statue.
Colonel William Light fought to have the capital city, Adelaide, placed in the area it is today. He chose this place as it had lots of fresh water, minimal threat of flooding and was good ground to build upon.
Then we went past hubby’s old house that he used to live in and the schools he attended.
That evening we had a very enjoyable visit from hubby’s nan, which the boys loved.
