These delicious, melt-in-your-mouth Instant Pot Ribs are perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. They just fall off the bones!
Instant Pot Ribs
These delicious ribs cooked in an Instant Pot make a lovely main meal when served with vegetables of your choice.
Taking less than 40 minutes to cook, these ribs are coated with a delicious and easy to make, dry rub before being added to the Instant Pot. When they are finished cooking in the Pot, they can be served as is, or topped with a little BBQ sauce and grilled for a lovely finish.
Ingredients to Make these Ribs
For the Dry Rub, you will need:
- 2 TBSP smoked paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp oregano
For the Ribs, you will need:
- 2 baby back rib racks
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 cup smokey BBQ sauce
- 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef stock
How to Make Instant Pot Ribs
Combine the dry rub ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Place the ribs, face down, on a cutting board. Carefully, remove the membrane from the ribs with a knife and discard.
If needed, cut the racks so that they fit into the Instant Pot.
Season the the ribs with the dry mix, gently rubbing onto the ribs.
Peel and cut the onions into quarters and place in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
Peel the garlic cloves and add them as well as the Worcestershire sauce, and the beef broth.
Place the rack into the Instant Pot.
Stand the ribs on their side on top of the rack.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot, select pressure cook or manual pressure and cook ribs for 30 minutes.
Add to natural release for 5 minutes before opening the valve and releasing the remaining pressure.
Line a baking tray with aluminium foil.
Place the ribs onto the prepared tray and gently brush with the bbq sauce.
Grill or broil for a couple of minutes until the sauce is set and browned – about 5 minutes.
Serve with creamy sweet potato mash and steamed vegetables or with a salad.
