Hot Air Balloon

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my full disclosure policy.

We get quite a few hot air balloons flying over our house when the weather is fine. The boys are usually up early enough to hear and see them. They find the balloons fascinating, so today we set out to make our own.

For the bucket we used a cupcake container.

To this we taped for strings that were about 6 inches long.

For the parachute, we used a cellophane bag that was about 6 by 11 inches.

We used a hair dryer on very low heat to try and keep the balloon in the air.
