This Chinese Five Spice Ice Cream is creamy and delicious with the hint of spices found in the fragrant Chinese blend of five-spice powder.

The common mix of Chinese Five-Spice is made up of star anise, cloves, Chinese cinnamon, Sichuan pepper and fennel seeds. As half of these ingredients are used in desserts, why not try adding it to ice cream?

I made this ice cream from scratch, in my loaf pan, so there is no need for an ice cream machine or any other dancing equipment.

This very unique ice cream tastes very creamy and is delicious on its own or topped with a little caramel sauce.
