There are a variety of ways to use essential oils throughout your day. Diffusing is a great way, though you can’t always take your diffuser everywhere you go. You can still reap the benefits of essential oils by creating a lovely essential oil bead knot bracelet that goes wherever you do!
Essential Oil Bead Knot Bracelet
This cute Essential Oil Bead Knot Bracelet is easy to make, and could easily become one of your favourite DIY accessories.
As always, be careful when using essential oils. Make sure to do your research first and use with extreme care.
There are several different methods of making an essential oil diffuser bracelet as well as a variety of materials that can be used. Some of these include:
- Stretchy beading elastic cord
- Porous beads such as unbaked clay beads or lava beads
- Other plastic or non-porous beads to add to your bracelet that won’t be used for diffusing
- Leather cord
- Hemp Cord
For this diffuser bracelet, I have used three lava beads, though you can certainly add more beads if you wish.
Making A Bracelet
To make this easy, 10 minute bracelet, you will need:
- Hemp Cord
- 3 – 6 MM Lava Beads
- Scissors
- Essential oil of your choice
Cut 3 strands of hemp cord into 30 cm (12 inch) lengths.
Add one bead to one of the cords, and push it to the centre of the cord.
Line the other two cords up on either side of the cord with the bead, meeting them all at the ends.
Grab the 3 cords together in your hand, and make one knot where the bead is.
Keeping the other two cords at either side of the cord with the bead, make another knot at the other end of the bead.
Add another bead to the middle cord.
Keeping the other two cords at either side of the cord with the bead, make another knot at the other end of the bead.
Add another bead to the middle cord.
Keeping the other two cords at either side of the cord with the bead, make another knot at the other end of the bead.
Make a knot about two inches past the last knot, on each end.
To put the bracelet on, fit it over your wrist, and tie the ends together.
To Use:
Add one to two drops of your favourite essential oil to one of the lava beads. Let it stand for about 30 minutes before putting the bracelet on.
You can reuse the same bead over and over, if you was it with soap and water. Though, some oils have a stronger scent than others and it may still be noticeable even after washing.
