- Try adding a spoonful of almond butter or peanut butter
- Instead of coconut milk, try using your favourite milk, almond milk or water
- Try using 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of plain Greek yoghurt for a creamier smoothie
- For a chocolate taste, add a small scoop of cocoa powder and top with cacao nibs
Choosing Papaya
When at the store trying to choose a papaya to purchase, look for one that is not bruised, if you can. Buy organic if you can, as they have been known to taste sweeter.
Storing Smoothies
Smoothies are made to be enjoyed immediately.
If you can’t enjoy immediately, the smoothie mixture can be refrigerated for a few hours, though it may separate. Just shake or mix before enjoying.
Smoothie mixture can also be frozen for up to three months.
