Today we went to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
We saw all the animals, rode the train around and went to a couple of shows. We went to the crocodile talk, but they don’t feed the croc in winter which was a little disappointing. It has something to do with their body temperature and they wouldn’t be able to digest the food. They had a baby croc (it was about 3yrs old) that you could hold. B went up to it but wouldn’t touch it and moved away as we were taking a photo, so that didn’t happen. Overall it was a great day, our first ‘big’ day without a pram, so we had to carry everything ourselves.
It was great to see some native Australian animals like the echidna,
The Tasmanian Devil,
Koalas, which you can hold if you want to pay the price,
A massive crocodile!!
Red tree kangaroos and of course,
the colourful parrots which they feed every afternoon. It is awesome to see how many parrots hang around waiting for the food to be brought out. Our boys loved this very noisy part of the day.
