Cocoa Life Cycle Printables

Cocoa beans are found in the pods that grow on cacao or cocoa trees. After being picked these pods are cut open and the beans inside are removed and roasted so that they can be crushed into cocoa or chocolate powder. Cocoa Life Cycle Printables

Grown in hot, humid regions, cocoa trees are slow growing plants that take around three to five years to produce pods with beans that are used for making chocolate. 

Even so, these trees have been known to live up to two hundred years, though they only produce cocoa beans for about 25 of those years. They are known to produce around one thousand cocoa beans a year, which is enough to make around two pounds ( one kilogram) of chocolate.

 This 100+ page printable pack contains a variety of activities including:

• Alphabet Cards – Cut out, laminate and use to match the lower case letters to the uppercase ones. Can also be used to spell words.
• Trace the Letters – Improve handwriting skills while learning to spell.

• Dice / Graphing Activity – Cut out the dice and glue together. Roll the dice and graph each object the dice lands on.
• Size Sequencing Cards – Great for practicing order from largest to smallest or the other way round.
• What I Know/ Want to Learn about Cocoa Trees – Write what you want to know and then research these trees and write the answers to your questions.
• Life Cycle Writing Pages – Research the cocoa life cycle and write our what you find.
