- Cicada Template
Instructions:
The template for the cicada craft includes patterns for – 1 main body, 1 wing base, 4 wing patterns to decorate the wing base, strips for the body, small teardrop patterns to decorate the main body, 2 small circles for the eyes. Trace the patterns from the template on colourful craft papers. Use a dark colored paper for the main body and yellow or orange colored paper for the eyes and teardrop shapes. For the rest of the patterns, you can use any colors you want. Cut out the traced patterns.
Take the main body cutout and attach the 2 small circles on the excess small circular parts on one side of the main body.
Attach the small teardrop shapes on the main body. You can search for a real picture of cicada to get some ideas about the pattern.
Attach the small strips horizontally on the main body. Trim the sides of the strips and align them with the main body border.
Use two small strips to add antennas on the top side of the body.
Grab the wing base and the other patterns. Attach the smaller parts of the wings on the wing base.
Attach the main body of the cicada in the middle of the wing pattern.
Use a black pen to trace patterns on the wings.
You can use this cicada paper craft to make cards, bookmarks, puppets and so much more!
Enjoy!
