In China, each lunar cycle has 60 years and 12 years is regarded as a smaller cycle. Each of these 12 years is defined by an animal sign: Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig and Rat. 2021 is the Year of the Ox and 2022 is the Year of the Tiger.
