Ant Facts
With over 12,000 species known, ants are a fascinating subject for children to study. Children love watching these tiny little creatures work all day long.
There are so many fascinating things to learn about these creatures. Ants can swim, even forming rafts to get across large bodies of water. They also have two stomachs, one to store food for themselves and the other is to save food for other ants.
Amazingly, ants don’t have lungs, so how do they breathe? Through openings on their abdomens known as spiracles.
Leafcutter ants are the strongest ants in the world, while the most deadly ant is the Australian bulldog ant.

This Ant Lapbook is a great way for children who love a hands-on approach to learning, learn about ants.
